Graze Against The Machine Streets (#gatmstreets) is a direct response to big corporations hijacking regenerative farming for their own profit. They have done the same with sustainable, organic and natural.
#gatmstreets volunteers in cities on 3 continents are helping spread the real meaning of regenerative farming with street-art. Indigenous communities around the world have used regenerative practices for thousands of years. They are the true keepers of this meaning . We must all listen with respect to the wisdom they choose to share so we can learn what regenerative really means. You can amplify your voice with activism and advocacy for equitable and healthy food & farms. For resources and more information check out Carolina Farm Stewardship Association, they have been great allies in our quest to make an impact with policy change and decision makers. |
Track and Improve Biodiversity
Use this free app from National Geographic to track and identify butterflies, lizards, plants, birds and other species in your backyard, neighborhood or farm. Learn how we have identified over 600 species using the app in this video. You can attract more biodiversity by planting native plants, stacking a few logs, adding a water feature or creating a small pile of stones in your yard.
Graze With Equality & Respect
Support local BIPOC, LGBTQ+, Woman* and Immigrant owned farms and small businesses. We encourage you to discover the indigenous land on which you, live, work and play. Native Land strives to create and foster conversations about the history of colonialism, indigenous ways of knowing and settler-indigenous relations.

Graze Against The Machine Regenerative Farming Principles
Although regenerative farming practices are liable to change, our regenerative principles are unchanging. Indigenous values of 7th Generation and Honorable Harvest form the foundation of our principles. We respectfully and humbly receive guidance from our friends Linwood Watson, Haliwa-Saponi and Chris Dorsey, Creek. They both share insight into these principles, their indigenous cultures and teachings of local plant species and their ethnobotanical uses with us. Linwood and Chris are both instrumental allies in recovering the pre-colonial history of the indigenous territories on which Ozark Akerz is located, they help us respect and honor this history as an integral part of farm-life.
There is a lot of info on the Ozark Akerz Regenerative Farm website about how we attempt to farm in harmony with nature. We’ve chosen a few posts and videos that will help give you insights into our principles and practices.
