Your Favorite Farm Photos of 2022

Happy New Year! We partied and raised hell until 3am New years Eve, then got up 4 hours later to let out the birds as always...and rake up all the silly string from the celebration, those birds will eat anything!

Almost 100 people voted in each of our 5 categories of our annual Best Photos, and one winner in particular stands out. The categories were:

3. The Sun, The Moon, The Rainbow
4. Sue, Mike & Animals
5. Nature

Pineywoods Cattle Winner with 32% of the votes - Georgia our Brindle Pineywoods

Geese, Turkeys and Chickens Winner with 47% of the votes - Cotton coming in close to say hello

This picture of Cotton is the stand-out. Late in 2022, Mike submitted multiple photos, videos and illustrations to Getty Images for consideration to become a contributor to their stock images catalog. He was approved. A few days later he submitted his first photos and videos for their review and consideration or their category Funny Animal Moments, including this one of Cotton. On January 1st, 2023, Cotton became the first of Mike's photos to be accepted by Getty Images. Y'all have a knack for selecting a winning image!

Although not all the videos Mike submitted were accepted, the geese proved popular with Gettty and a video of our gander Cotton playing with a rubber chicken also made the cut in the Funny Animal Moments category.

Nature was our most competitive category so we’re sharing the winner and the runner-up. The Winner with just 16% of the vote - The lower pasture on a hot day in August

Runner-up in the Nature category with 13% of the votes: Green Anole invoking the dragon
